I gained 47 pounds when I was pregnant with Leo.
47!
I was not one of those cute pregnant women with just a belly.
I was freaking enormous.
Here is photographic proof.
Hot, right?
Here is one from the day before he was born.
A smidge better but still not cute.
I lost 27 of the 47 right away, the last 20 have been hanging around.
I have lost and regained the same 8-12 pounds since then and am really sick of not having any clothes to fit into.
Here are two of me when I was down the 8-12 pounds; note these are flattering photos. You can see the weight in my face.
I do not want to buy clothes for the size/weight that I am.
Which means that I have looked like a hot mess since he was born.
Not awesome.
I have started eating healthier and exercising within the last week and have been seeing everyone with their homemade smoothies and juices.
Joey and I talked about it and decided to drop $44 on a Magic Bullet at Costco.
I tried this Berry Spinach recipe.
It look like this:
WRONG! It was freaking delicious.
I am going to search out and try other recipes such as this Kale Smoothie.
Game Plan:
- Walking 2 miles minimum everyday pushing Leo in the stroller
- Smoothie for breakfast
- Salad/Fruit lunch
- Protein/Veggie dinner
Hopefully my ass will get smaller and fit into my pants.
I will let you know!
P.S. I wish this hot bitch would come back to town!
Ok, no problem. Just thought I’d let you know in case you were interested. And yes, I did lose all my baby weight plus an extra 7 pounds, but I had problems producing milk so I had to gain about 5-10 pounds back. 😦 My midwife told me to keep 5-10 pounds on while breastfeeding and unfortunately she was right. So, I have to deal with the extra weight until I’m done breastfeeding.
The more info the better I always say. That’s fantastic! Must feel good to be almost regular sized. 🙂
Here’s how I lost the weight without exercising. I got down to 110 pounds, but had trouble producing milk, so I had to pig out and gain more weight. Anyway, here’s what I/we do….I ate/eat and cook with beef fat, pork fat, chicken fat, and coconut oil (and lots of it) and I eat meat at every meal (but it’s only from pastured animals). I eat lots of eggs (only from pastured chickens). I drink/eat raw milk, raw cheese, raw cream, etc; nothing pasteurized. I make and eat a lot of homemade bone broths. I stopped eating all grains. If I want baked goods, I bake with coconut flour or almond flour. Nearly everything we eat/buy is organic. Also, I eat a lot of fermented foods like sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha, etc. And of course, lots of veggies and fruits, but overall, this is the way we eat. Nothing we eat at home is processed (all rules change when eating out/traveling/etc because it’s hard to find proper food). I don’t deprive myself of food; I just eat whatever I want and find it easy to maintain my weight. Hopefully something in what I wrote can help you with your goal so you don’t feel it’s such a chore. 🙂
Have you lost all the baby weight?! That’s so exciting. I don’t know if I have the time or energy to follow an eating lifestyle like yours but I am so happy that its working for you!
